DRAMA 2 is the second edition of a magazine that shows recent, unpublished and unperformed scenic literature. They range from excerpts of longer plays to monologues, short dramas and other forms of text written to be performed. The flexible soft cover and the rough notebook style, that invites to edit and highlight, allow for the usage onstage. The typography reflects on the different needs of the texts, that come with the amount of voices, the type of text or tone of the play. The visual contribution also has a performative character to it and emphasizes the issues topic.

The annual book fair for independent publishing hosts a marketplace and symposium in Leipzig. The 2022 editions topic “It’s a book, it’s a word that you choose, it’s a language in use” examines what translation strategies and tools can create accessibility and frame content. The design specifically sets focus on it’s visual language and emphasizes the creative process behind the design. A series of digital and analogue posters evaluates how different highlighted information control and shift the focus. The Posters are Printed in 7 saturated single colors that translate the feel of the digital editing process into the printed matter. The act of highlighting and inverting the colors is shown in the animated City Lights Posters and on social media.

Itsabook.de is the online platform of the Hybrid Independent Publishing Fair „It’s a book”. It shows information about the fair, hosts the livestream of the symposium and displays the participating publishers and books. It also will function as an archive of the past editions of the It’s a book. The design transfers the notion of physically being at the fair into the web, the first impression of the amount of covers at the sight and the unexpected discovery of neighboring books.

In times of social isolation keeping track of breaking news about the COVID-19 outbreak, latest research and government policy became part of contemporary culture. Digital news media increasingly shape how we interact and communicate in the analogue and digital space. The pandemic Archive captures that locked down state of pandemic 2021. It displays current news about the pandemic and a live view of a webcam filming a backyard. On “print” you can print out a postcard to collect and share your very own pandemic memories.
